Tev Aho organises teaching course and debates HoLEP at The European Association of Urology Meeting in Munich

Tev Aho was invited to organise a Hands on Training Course on HoLEP by the European School of

Urology in March. A realistic prostate model, which Mr Aho has been involved in developing for

teaching HoLEP, was used to train course attendees. The course was held at the Annual Congress

of the European Association of Urology in Munich and was fully subscribed by delegates from

many different centres in Europe and beyond. For most it was their first hands on experience of

HoLEP.

At the same Congress, Mr Aho was also invited to join other laser experts from Europe and the

USA for a discussion of laser techniques for prostate and stone surgery. Mr Aho’s topic was to

address the question “ Which is the best energy source for endoscopic enucleation of the prostate

and why?”
