
Simon Russell
Simon qualified from Guy's Hospital in 1995. He subsequently trained in general medicine at Guy's hospital and oncology at Guy's, Addenbrooke's, University college London and the Middlesex hospitals. He was appointed consultant oncologist at Addenbrooke's Hospital in 2003.
Simon specialises in the treatment of Urological cancers (Prostate and Bladder). He has particular expertise in new radiotherapy techniques including Intensity Modulated and Image guided Radiotherapy, brachytherapy, hormonal therapies and chemotherapy. Simon's special interests are directed towards improving cure rates in cancer, whilst reducing the side effects of therapy. Cambridge has a national and international reputation as a centre of excellence for advanced radiotherapy.
